Letizia
Osceola County Investigative Bureau agents were conducting an undercover narcotics operation Wednesday night when the subject of their investigation pulled a gun and pointed it at an agent, prompting the agent to fire shots.

Suspect Anthony Letizia, 29, was injured in the incident and was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Celebration Hospital before being taken to the Osceola County Jail.

Letizia was in a car with the agent near the intersection of U.S. Highway 192 and International Drive when he pulled the gun on the agent, the bureau reported. The agent gave a signal to nearby agents to arrest Letizia and then fired shots at him.

Two others, 23-year-old Roxanne Wright and Leodon Valdez Vasquez, 30, drove to the location with Letizia, but were not in the vehicle when the shooting occurred. Wright is charged with a violation of probation for a Polk County charge, while Valdez Vasquez faces charges of  trafficking methamphetamine, carrying a concealed firearm and robbery with a firearm.

Letizia was charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, robbery with a deadly weapon, armed trafficking in methamphetamine and carrying a concealed weapon.

The Florida Department of Law Enfacement and the Osceola County Sheriff's Office are conducting an investigation on the deputy-involved shooting.
