 Composite sketch of suspect Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies are looking for a suspect who held up a taxi cab driver at gunpoint, stabbing him in an ensuing fight in the early morning of Nov. 12.
The cab driver told deputies that a man waved him down near Oxford Drive and Polynesian Isle Boulevard.
The man got in the passenger seat of the cab and asked to be taken to Poinciana. The driver headed toward the Hess Station in the area, driving through the parking lot, when his passenger demanded money at gunpoint. The driver stopped his cab, got out and fought with the suspect, who pulled out a knife. The driver was stabbed when he stepped backward. The driver was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries. Deputies arrived at the hospital at around 4 a.m. to take his statement. He described his passenger as a black male in his late 30s or 40s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds and with a thin build. He had short, salt and pepper colored hair and beard and was wearing a gray zip-up sweatshirt with a hood, a white undershirt and blue jeans.
